Service Agreement
The basis on which services are delivered once a scope and quotation have been agreed.
Last reviewed: 2026-11-06
Draft pending owner approval. This document is a starting point prepared for the business owner to review and approve. It is general information and not legal advice.
1. Scope of work
Each engagement is defined by a written quotation or scope document setting out the services to be delivered, the information to be provided by the client, the fees and the expected timeline. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before proceeding.
2. Client obligations
The client provides accurate and complete information, supplies the documents listed in the scope, responds to queries within agreed timeframes, and informs us promptly of any change that affects the engagement.
3. Turnaround
Timelines are estimates based on the information available at the time. Delays in receiving information or documentation, or delays at an institution, will affect the timeline.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are set out in the quotation. Where a deposit is required, work begins on receipt of the deposit. Monthly services are billed monthly on the agreed terms. No recurring billing is set up without the client's explicit consent.
5. Regulatory processes
Where a service involves submission to SARS, CIPC, the Department of Employment and Labour or a bank, the outcome and processing time are determined by that institution. We provide administrative assistance only.
6. Confidentiality
Information provided by the client is treated as confidential and used only to deliver the agreed service, except where disclosure is required by law.
7. Records
Working papers and records are retained for the period required by law and professional practice.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement on written notice. Fees for work already performed remain payable, and records are handed over on settlement of outstanding amounts.
